IU Health absorbs short-term pain for massive future bets

CFO Jenni Alvey called the pressure from these “big, one-time endeavors” expected through 2027 but essential for long-term margin growth and a stronger balance sheet. The system has already delivered $1.4B in affordability savings to Hoosiers via price cuts.
